Hi All,

Just as a temporary measure I have brought a beogram cd x2 while my cdx is being repaired. I   just wanted to ask a very simple question that i couldn't find out through a Google search. When the beogram CDX2 reaches the end of the CD should it automatically go into standby ? Just wanted to double check this because I have never known a CD player to do this before.

Many Thanks,

Lewis

Not sure about CDX2 in particular, but most B&O CD (and record and tape) players go into standby after the record ends.

I would consider it abnormal if they didn't - what purpose would it serve to have it stay on?

Hi Lewis,

my CDX2 goes to standby when the CD has finished.  This seems a logical thing to do and is normal.

Dave.

My only B&O CD player, the CD X, does stay on after playing a CD.  At least for a week or two, anyway, which is the longest I've left it on between playing CDs.

Hi Dave,

Thank you so much for your fast reply It has put my mind at rest to be honest as every other bang and olufsen machine i have had has never gone into standby once its finished.

Thanks once again,

Lewis

Yes -because it's the only one with a physical on/off switch - Wink All the later models went into standby when the CD was finished.
