Beomaster 3000 1985 - 1987 Verion help

Hi I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me.

I have just purchased a Beomaster 3000 1985 - 1987 version from ebay when i try to power up it go's crazy. There is no sound coming through the speakers and it just automatically go's onto radio preset 2 or  5 then sometimes it gets stuck on standby and wont do anything. The volume don't move up or down the mute buttons wont work. it seems to be what ever it wants to go in when you plug it in thats all it will do and non of the buttons will work.

All in all it seems to be in a real mess.
