Hi,
I got a good deal of a single Beolab 14 speaker and was wondering if it is possible to use it as a centre speaker in a surround sound setup (I have other Beolabs as Front and Back but no Center atm)?
Also, if someone has tried this and can give a verdict of the sound quality etc. that would be welcome.
Best regards,
Riven
My B&O products: Beosound 9000, Beosound 2300, Beosound Century, Beolab 8000, Beolab 6000, Beolab 4000 x2, Beolab 3500, Beolab 2000, Beolab 10, Beolink Active x2, Beotime, Beo5 x2, Beo4, A9 keyring x2, LC2 dimmer x6 and growing....
I would not advice you to do so.
These 'satelites' were created/tuned to work together with the 14-sub.
It shouldn't be hard to find a preloved BeoLab, that can match your front speakers (which is essentially what a center speaker must do).

There is a tv - and there is a BV
Alternatives I have is a pair of Beolab 4000s or a Beolab 10. These are clearly superkor in tefms of sound but they are not approved by my wife as center speaker. The Beolab 14 is so small so it would be ok - then again if the sound quality would be to bad then it is not really an option anyway...
