Hello all,

I have an otherwise perfectly functioning BS9000 mk1 2521, but out of curiosity I entered the protocol for test mode as outlined in this thread: http://archivedforum2.beoworld.org/forums/t/5070.aspx

Upon pressing the last digit of the 90258-code, the BS9000 went black with no lights and the speakers turned off.

There is no standby lights.

It is unresponsive and will not respond to physical presses of its many buttons. It doesn't appear to respond to remote signals.

Unplugging has not brought it back to life either.

My worst fear is that I have caused a short-circuiting of sorts.

Have I done something horrible wrong to it, I wonder... ?

After another 10 minutes I plugged it back into the electrical socket and now it works like a charm again.

But it would appear that tests 71 and 73 do not exist on the mk1. My mk2 is in a different location, so I can't cross-check.

Any idea what could have happened?

I guess a day without learning is a day wasted Smile
