Upgraded from beolab 9 to beolab 5.

Connected the same playmaker setup to the new (used) beolab 5. The speakers turn on (green), but no sound...

I tried to connected by powerlink to a b&o cd player, and the speakers play fine.

Perhaps the cables from playmaker don't work with beolab 5's? They worked fine with the beolab 9.

Ideas?

Thx

You'll need fully wired cables!

RJ45/DIN cables 6271125 (5 m) and 6271126 (10 m).

Didn't you BeoLab5 came with (!) cables?

If yes, you'll need the right adapter cables for connecting to the RJ45 output of the Playmaker (or any new PL-output).

You'll have to ask your B&O dealer for this.

Or contact Steve at SoundsHeavenly or a good local cables supplier in DK.

Just to clarify: I have cables with RJ45 and Din. They were used between beolab 9 and playmaker. But, the same cables don't work with beolab 5.

The BL5's came with din/din cables.

So, i would need to purchase RJ45 adapters only then?

"Thicker" cable is what MM called "fully wired" cable...
