Hi all!

I have a question on how to properly configure the AV sockets on a AV5 to use with a DVD1.

Currently I have the AV socket set to "S-VHS V.TAPE" which is the only way to use the Apple TV when pressing V.MEM on my Beo4 and get a picture from the DVD when pressing DVD on the remote.

However, I cannot remote control the DVD1 and on the small display on the AV5 it says "CDV". I cannot get it to interpret DVD from the Beo4 to DVD on the display, and I believe thats why it doesnt remote control the DVD1.

There is no DVD choice in the AV socket menu either...

Any advise what to do here?

Thanks in advance!

/Peter

Hi.

I'm not sure if you can use the beo4 to control a dvd1 with the AV5 as the tv had a cdi player built in and which was before DVD format. B&O were not using DVD when the AV5 was selling so I think the feature you are after was probably not available.

Graeme.

Hi Greame,

Thanks for your reply. You are probably right, it simply not compatible.

I've had the AV5 for many years, but didn't realize it is that old actually..

Cheers

Peter

It will usually work as a V.Tape player - bizarre but should work.
