Has anyone connected a BeoVision 7-55 to Ethernet?

There is an RJ45 connector in the back. It is described in the manual. But I cannot find the instructions for configuring the LAN interface.

The connection is only for the BD-Player, for firmware update, and BD-disk contents.

Thanks Fritz.

If I connect the BeoVision 7-55 to the Internet, will I be able to get firmware updates for new profiles of remote controllers? Like the AppleTV 4K remote controller? If so, how do I configure the LAN interface? Please advise.

Thanks,

Hi

It is only and solely for the Blueray firmware. I think we might have had one or two updates to that thing. That’s all.

7 series is still the old ML versions where B&O did not think it was secure to have internet connections directly.

So you need to contact your dealer to get the puc codes updated. Unfortunately.
