No rumours? I do wonder sometimes. Don't people look at other threads on this subject, first? There's a 4-page discussion on the new launch.

They look....ok. Bit big for me.

I often do, too.

But EJF is new here (a warm welcome to him!) - and he probably did not recognize the thread - it has a somewhat different title.

He'll soon learn, I am sure ;-)

Next up will be a H1 - the only missing number....unless the really want to go to 23.

Still only an aging micro usb port. How hard can it be to replace it by a Usb type c port and make the headphones future proof ? This is supposed to be a high end product for god's sake

Wow!

When the A1 came out, people complained, that it uses a USB-C port for charging!

When anything comes out somebody complains about something!

These strike me as being aimed at a slightly younger market (where's Paul W when you need him?) from both a design point of view and also the description of the sound on the video above.

Well there really is something for everyone at just about every price point in the headphone range now.  As ever, it will be interesting to see them/hear them in the flesh but I like the look of them from the pics I've seen.

Tube amps and LP players are still considered "high end" products, just sayin. Wink

Another headphone appearing to the Beoplay collection. Its getting harder to choose a model that fits you best.

I would like to have some tips of what is now the best headphone model for enjoying the music back seated in my favorite chair at those wintery evenings.

Doesn't look like it has a replaceable battery. I do like the looks though... kind of cold-war-ish Hmm

Also already saw these on eBay last night, but got too lazy to post. I'll leave the searching to you folks.

Maybe B&O are planning 100 models for the 100 Yr Anniversary?Stick out tongue

Exactly!  There are too many headphones in the range.  How does the average person choose other than on price.  It is really getting confusing.

I must say these headphones have made my day. I really like the design and use of materials. After some disappointing new products these look like they're back on the right track.

I really don't understand these comments. Sennheiser's website shows 46 different pairs of over-ear headphones. That's just the over ear ones; it doesn't include on-ear (of which there are25) or in-ear (31)

B&O are simply trying to offer a full range. Not a few pairs like they used to but a full range to cater for as many customers as possible.

Surely you just have to ask yourself a few questions if you want a pair of B&O headphones:

Do I want over-ear?

Do I want Bluetooth?

Do I want anc?

And how much do I want to spend?

If that's difficult I don't know how anybody ever gets around to choosing a car.

Duels,  You are probably correct. Choice is a good idea.  However as an owner of an iPhone 7, the best for me is wireless.  Because Beats uses the W1 chip for their headphones and Apple AirPods use the W1, choice can be difficult at the Apple store.  Beoplay will need to more aggressively differentiate their products through advertising and design and of course.....sound.

I am not a fan of the retro look.  Those exposed wires are a design element I don't care for.

Agreed Linder. Have to say that my H5s are pretty disappointing connected to my iPhone through Bluetooth. Totally lacking bass. My H8s on the other hand are great through Bluetooth.

I am a wire guy, when it comes to headphones - mostly use them at home.

But I'd appreciative the option of having them wireless once in a while....for convenience.

The H4 looks like they could offer me that.

We'll see ;-)

I really enjoy the fact they're a different look.

H6/7/8/9 all share a very similar pedigree, the 4 looks very different, and I think that's a good thing!

B&O probably thought "These are budget wireless headphones, so something will have to give. We'll have to give them buttons instead of a fancy touch interface"

I wish my H9 had buttons Sad

Beoplay's 'budget' headphones are now in the enviable position of having better controls than the premium headphones and being able to initiate Siri/Google Assistant.

Now I see what makes a difference, The H4 has no AptX audio codec.

Unexperienced as I am in headphones, would this really makes a great difference?

A) at the gym

B) surfing

C) complaining about BV6/Century/BS8

D) hesitating about A1

If you are listening to it form an iPhone... no. The iPhone doesn't support AptX.

Maybe they should do some F1-style headphones whereby other brands can sponsor the company while getting their logos splattered all over a pair of headphones in random sizes and higgledy piggledy orientations?

How cool will you look wearing those!!

I'm sure there will be a BeoPlay "Spring/Summer" colour collection in March! Let's see.

Still appears to be no-one on here who has bought a H4 yet. Would love some feedback on them and how they compare the H7, which I find to be a bit quiet over Bluetooth, even on max volume!

I am so keen on the H4 that I went to see and buy them today. They are a lovely design and the shop has sold out but, when they're back in stock, they will be mine. Oh yes.

H4 have been well marketed it seems. We've had a lot of interest from people new to the brand and have sold all of our initial allocation.

I compared them with H7. Similar sound quality but maybe slightly more bass and less top end than H7. Good build quality compared to Bose - represent good value and will sell well.
