Great! You'll have to sort the CD50 door first...

Good luck!

Ever since about 1990 I've wanted a stacking system with an MCP.  After living with a BM4000 and BG4002 for over a half year, now I'm not so sure.  I think my next Beomaster is going to be a BM8000.  Which loudspeakers?  Confused

If you go for a BM 8000, Bvox Penta, 4500, 5000, RL 140, M 150 M 150-2.

I have here Bvox 3000, impressive sound on souch a small speaker, Bvox S45 and to do Bvox 3702.

I had for a time RL 140 connected to a BM 6500, what a sound, they mach my BL 8000 in every way, but connected to a BM 2400 not so.

Still looking for BM 5000 and the MCP, but they are frequently on the bay over here, in Europe not so, and expensive over there.

Dont know if I keep the system, but it will be fun having it for a while, visitors always fall in love with nearly any B&O

My dream is BM/BL 5000 with Beovox 5000, but if I buy that I think something has to go, the FS (not likely) or a lot of other items.Smile

I may be the only person into the vintage stuff here that currently has no interest in the 60s 5000 system.

Some day I'd like to have a BG1000 set up to play 78s, but first I need to collect some 78s!

Down the road I'd like to collect a pair of Pentas, a pair of redlines, a pair of P45/P30, and a pair of Beovox pre-Uniphase line.

But in no hurry for any of that.  Just really enjoying the systems I already have in place.

You should my friend, you should. As you know, I have several classic B&O stuff, and the Beolab 5000 is a superb integrated.

If the rest of the system is anything like this one, I could easily see myself keeping it as my main system (currently Beosystem 8000).

Big Smile I hate this stupid smiley

Hi Soren, congratulations on your purchase.I think you'll be pleased with this system once you find the BM5000 and MCP.My primary system is the BM5000 and BG CD50 with RL60's.

Good luck

Hi!

I have a hybrid system comprising a BM5500, a Beocord 5000 (superb), a Beogram CD5500, a Beogram 5005.

An MCP5500, a Beolink 1000. MC120.2 speakers.

The whole makes a superb system. Some say that the BM5000 sounds even better.

Just bought a MCP 5000 yesterday, do you know if it will work with BM 5500 too ??

But any of the stacking series components will communcate with the BM5000 via datalink - the MCP5000 only works with the BM5000, subsequent MCP's work with any of the other systems (except BM5000).

BM5000 is however arguably the best amplifier of the stacking systems.

Ban boring signatures!

Still looking for BM 5000, but if everything goes bad, Eugene has promised to help me, but I will wait a little more, I know Eugene love his pieces, and will cry a little to see one goBroken HeartBig Smile

I have a BeoGram CD50 with a complete Beomaster 5000,  BeoCord 5000 and MCP my problem is finding some parts.  Any idea where I can find a new Belt and door for a CD50?  My door has a bad scratch and the belt is worn out so bad I have to help the tray move in and out.

Thanks Rick
