Hello,

I have a Beomaster 3500 and I try to plug the B&O CD 3300 into the TP port, it will automatically change to PH.. When I plug the CD 3300 into the PH port on the Beomaster the quality is terrible.  But, the radio quality is fine.

Any suggestions as to what is going wrong?  Is it the Beomaster or the Beogram?

Thanks,

Anthony

Hi Anthony

As far as i remember the CD3300 won't fit your BM3500 exactly. The CD3300 has a data connection which fits the Beomaster 3300 but no other BM with datalink. What you can do is to eliminate datalink by unscrewing the connections 6 and 7 in the male connector of your CD3300. At least you will be able to listen to the CD playing. This should work with the tape port (and also with the CD port).  For the correct "programming" of the different ports please have a look at your user manual of the BM3500 if available.  I guess the problem with the PH port has something to do with customizing the ports. As a two star member you will find a user manual on our main site but also somewhere else on the net.

Best regards

David

Why not plug it into the CD socket?

Just this morning I plugged a BG CD4500 into the tape 1 of my Beomaster 6000 and it too switched to PH. Datalink is an amazing thing.

I am with Martin with this one - why are you not using the CD socket? It is designed for the purpose. Otherwise you need to remove the 6 and 7 pins and use the tape socket. Switching to PH is normal as the Beomaster treats the CD as a Beogram - hence the name Beogram CD3300.
