Received a pair of new H4's in "tangerine" (SS17 collection) for our big US trip next week for our brand new website: https://www.shortmotivation.com (let me know what your opinion) which soft-launched yesterday.
The only issue is, tangerine appears to be...pink?
What do you guys think?
Duels:Salmon pink.
Definitely. I've initiated a return, without even testing them. We can't photograph these!
Yeah, definitely not as tangerine as the stock/promo photos suggest... but it might be a lighting thing.
I had the same feelings about the red A1. In bright natural light, the A1 also seemed pink-ish,... but in dimmer indoor lighting, it somehow turned into the deep red I wanted.

Duels: Yet they manage to make them look tangerine in the official pics. Odd.

Worse - the box itself shows headphones in a distinct tangerine colour! Using the same camera (iPhone 6S), here's the box:
That's ^ the colour of headphones I wanted to promote!
I was tempted to wait rather than buy the launch colour , in case there was a cool colour coming out later. I didn't need to wait. But they do look interesting.
Beo Century ,Beoplay V1, Beocenter 6, Ex-Beolit 12, Beotime , A8. Beolit 15 , Form 2i , Beolab 2000, Beoplay A3.Beosound 1
To me they look the same as the pair worn by the lady but totally different to the picture on the box.

Duels: BenSA: To me they look the same as the pair worn by the lady but totally different to the picture on the box. To me there are now three colours. Pink in real life, orange on the box, peachy orange on the advert.

The scary thing is, we all thought we knew what 'tangerine' looked like (orange), but if you look at the Pantone colour, it's closer to the headphones (pink hue): https://uk.pinterest.com/pin/74731675042539571/
So, in theory, B&O are right (but the box is definitely still a darker colour), but it's going to catch a few people out.
KMA
B&O product history since 1991: Ridiculously long to list in a signature.
I was never in doubt that tangerine is orange! I've never eaten a single one that was even the merest hint of pink in colour!
Btw, it was minging when Sony did it with the original walkman and its still minging now!!
Ban boring signatures!
Duels:Wow. That Pantone is pure orange to me. Perhaps colour is even more subjective than we think.

And me, but there is a hint in that Pantone colour (despite what KMA thinks ;). But the H4's are even more obviously pink.
Managed to swap them out for an ex-demo H4 in Sand from the B&O Bath store at lunch: https://www.instagram.com/p/BSOKzrklkHb/?taken-by=shortmotivation
The lady also has a flesh tone face which ,along with stronger ambient lighting, contrasts less with the grey background on the pack shot.
And the ones on the pack look pretty vivid.
