Just to let you know you'll be having one of my long, boring and uninteresting reviews to skim over soon! Don't worry, you can delete it.
BeoWorld has been invited to an event in just over weeks time to preview 'two new products which are destined to shape the future of sound'
All sounds very exciting - but as I'll have to sign NDA's and risk being marched into the field with the sheep in and beaten to death with a BeoLink 1000 I won't be able to launch my reviews until I'm allowed.... Not sure when that is, either.
As I'm representing BeoWorld I promise I'll be on my best behaviour. I will also try and ask the odd question on my travels, so if you have any please let me know!
I'm wondering if the little graphics on the invite are relevant...

9 LEE: I'm wondering if the little graphics on the invite are relevant...
Just kicking of the guessing here: The bottom one is the outline of a new speaker, viewed from above. The Beolab 90's rumored little brother? The top one is... uhm... eh... something hanging on a wall, viewed from the side. Another speaker? A new sound system?

Another bluetooth speaker
I think the illustration bottom left is a top view outline... they've done something similar with the invite of the BL5 years ago
Very curious to see what they're launching as BL90's little brother/sister...
Karel.
Yay, another suprise launch! It won't take long until some dealer ruins it by leaking the pictures...

For sure products from the Bang & Olufsen line (and not B&O Play).
Orherweise they would not be launched in Struer.
These guys keep surpricing us (at least I hope so).
Only 10 days to go ;-)
MM
There is a tv - and there is a BV
I guess the right way to spell that word is: 'surprising'.
Oh, well - we will learn about the 'price' soon enough.
Anything fitting the description here?
Hallo 9 LEEWhy does the picture not?
Peter Pan: Hallo 9 LEEWhy does the picture not?
Great idea. I love it This would really get noticed.
Bottom one looks very similar to the BL19. Top one seems very interesting to me and if it is a diamond shaped speaker that "sounds" most intriguing.
B&O products are V1-32, BS2, H95, E8 and an Essence remote.11-46 now replaced with Sony A90J 65”, Sony HT-A9, Sony UBP-X800M2 and Sony SRS-NS7.
BAND'OH!: Top one seems very interesting to me and if it is a diamond shaped speaker that "sounds" most intriguing.

Would really prefer an audio player / hub-centre. A top-end Moment in a design language similar to BL90 and a performance to match?
The top graphic, to me, looks like a speaker on test in the cube or testing room at struer - seem to remember seeing a photo that looked similar - so a speaker up there and maybe the graphic to the left is a sound system?
I guess you'll see and hear the successor of Beolab 5 and 3.Just enjoy it, Lee!
You're all wrong. The bottom left line drawing is clearly an aerial sketch of the new Beogram 90 turntable and the top one is a representation of the stylus profile on the new MMC90 that will go with it.
Exciting! I also bet on BL3 / BL5 successors. Interesting with the NDA. Assume then that a wider launch will follow quite soon, unless the NDA have people to keep quite for e.g another year or so. That would be boring
Livingroom: BL3, BL11, BV11-46 Kitchen: Beosound 1 GVA, Beocom 2 Bathroom: M3 Homeoffice: M3, Beocom 2 Library: Beosound Emerge, Beocom 6000 Bedroom: M5, Essence remote Travel: Beoplay E8 2.0, Beoplay EQ, Beoplay Earset

Agreed, that would be something special. I am waiting for a sound system more interesting (to me) than the Moment or Essence, which don't 'wow' me.
I wonder if the light effect behind the wording "Future" or the bottom of the diamond shaped speaker - depending how you see it - symbolises anything in the new product(s)?

I wanna sign an NDA so i can be one of the first to see it :-(
jowus:We need a stand alone BeoSystem and BeoSound that works well with the HW and SW!
Beosound Stage, Beovision 8-40, Beolit 20, Beosound Explore.
Exactly. That would be really great !!!
- but with datalink support please ... :-)))

Chris Townsend: Something like this....

Just drop by at Lego in Billund - sure they will have one for you there.

An updated BS9000 (with NL and DLNA functionality out of the box???) Sign me up.
One bad thing about the BS9000 is that if you're sloppy in how you align your discs, it will preserve it for all eternity unless you straighten them out yourself!

I'm afraid I'm recovering from the BeoVirus.
.
Present: BL90, Core, BL6000, CD7000, Beogram 7000, Essence Remote.
Past: BL1, BL2, BL8000, BS9000, BL5, BC2, BS5, BV5, BV4-50, Beosystem 3, BL3, DVD1, Beoremote 4, Moment.
seethroughyou:I'm really impressed at how soon B&O are releasing another speaker or two after the BL90. They seem to be on a roll, knuckling down to refreshing their portfolio. Very exciting times.
Think they need to get the full software package for the BL90s first before they release any trickle-down speakers based on the 90's

It's only been a year and a quarter!
Mr 10Percent:It's only been a year and a quarter!
What do you miss?
seethroughyou:Are they releasing new products on 22-23 March or is this a secret dealer only event where people sign a NDA but the products are actually released a few months later?
This is a "Press Event" so to speak, so I doubt any dealers will be there. It'll be the likes of "Stuff", "What Hi-Fi" etc I think. When I reviewed the BeoLab 90's it was all Dealers, but this time it's for the magazines and media to review.
I'm not sure on timing, but I don't think it'll be too long after this event that the products are launched....
I'm looking forward to seeing the BeoLab 4 successor! I wonder if that is what is presented in the 2nd announcement posted by Peter Pan!
You sure mean, the BL5.
That pic is just a fantasy made in Paint - as usual from Peter Pan.
PS. I would not wish for a speaker like that in my listening room - look at how the tweeters are pointed downwards.
