Hi guys!I have a BLC connected to two Beolabs with Powerlink. When i use my Remote or the Link Eye to adjust volume, turn the system on/off or change source i get a buzz in the speakers. One press on the volume equals one buzz. If i hold the volume it buzzes as it steps up or down in volume. The speakers works perfectly on other systems so its not the amplifiers going crazy.
What is going on? Could the link-eye be faulty? The BLC is V.master and in V.opt 2. Line in Sense is off.
Hi Mogelmose,
This sounds like data from pin 6 of the Powerlink cable getting onto the audio channels. Are you able to test the speakers with a different cable please? If you can please give a bit more details of which model of converter and speakers you are using, I will be pleased to assist further.
Kind regards, Steve.
Steve.

Pin 6, White?
Can i cut it? I arranged a test rig before i install it and the powerlink csble is actually a custom made i got with a Beomaster i bought once. It is with soldered DIN plug I could cut the White Wire and test that?
The cable is RJ45 > Powerlink
Yes, pin 6 is the inner part of the white wire (this is a mini-coax within the Powerlink cable). However, this is quite fiddly to get at, so you are welcome try one of my cables on a sale-or-return basis to test the system if you prefer:-

Thank you very much for your kind offer. The cable in the "test rig" is not a cable im specially fond of being something homemade from a previous owner. So i will just cut the white wire and try without it.If that doesn't work i will contact you again.Thank you very much for your, as always, very compentent help!
I ohmed the cable and two wires was soldered wrong.
Fixed it and nos everything works as supposed
