My sadness over there not being a 4K BeoSystem 5 may be over!  I have just purchased a new OLED TV and I am looking into getting either the Oppo UDP-203 or the UDP-205.  I can plug my Apple TV into the Oppo Player's HDMI-In for upscaling, thus needing the BeoSystem 4 only for audio.

One of the features of the Oppo UDP-205 is HDMI Audio Jitter Reduction.  A portion of the description reads:

For compressed bit stream audio, it helps to ensure error-free transmission, and may improve the audio performance depending on whether the audio decoder in the A/V processor or receiver uses a synchronous or asynchronous clock scheme."

I think it will be helpful for PCM...

Does anyone know which the BeoSystem 4 uses?

I've read reviews on the UDP-203 that there is a lip-sync problem when an Apple TV (or some other devices) is connected to HDMI-In.  It doesn't look like it has been completely fixed via firmware yet, so this is a must.
