Hi

I need help on my essence. I have no sound on the connected speakers beolab 4000. Whenever I start something the speakers turns from red to green and clicks are heard. But no music. Also the play list goes mad . Any ideas ?

I have a telenor router.

What are you playing? Is it music from your library using DNLA?  Did you try playing something from Tunein or another source?

I have a similar problem when I am playing high-resolution tracks that I purchased through HD-Tracks using DNLA.  Looking at BeoMusic, it looks like it's playing for a while, but after about a minute through a 4 minute track it will then go to the next track.  I reported this to BeoCare a long time ago, they asked for samples, which I provided, and never heard anything back again.  It still doesn't work!  I can get these tracks to play using Airplay, but I am sure they are being downsampled.

Try another source and if you have Airplay or Google Cast try streaming using that.

Hi Peter,

Here are some questions.

Have you tried to update the essence to the latest version?

When you enter setup mode (in BeoSetup-App, or BeoMusic, or new X-App, which sources have you activated?

Is your remote (eesence wheel) conected (in the remote section of your essence)?

If nothing helps, try a restart or in the worst case a factory reset.

Usually it is a good sign, when the Speakers are activated.

Cheers Beroli

This is what mine does when I try to play lossless WMA from my BS5 (not supported by Essence).  Definitely try to play TuneIn or something easy before moving to audio files.
