I recently emigrated from Scotland to Adelaide Australia, and the container with my beloved B&O stuff finally turned up this week.  Thankfully all of it seems to have survived the trip, but I'm currently having a problem getting a BV7-40 MK1 to accept an Australian TV signal without breaking up...

Specifically, I did bring a Humax HD-Fox T2 set-top box from the UK to use with this set on the off-chance it might be useful, but sadly I couldn't get this to tune properly.  So today I bought an inexpensive TEAC HDB850 set-top box to use in it's place.  It's connected via HDMI to the DV-I socket, and the sound is via a scart adaptor into AV2; the box tuned immediately, and even the picture on the BV7 looked pretty good given it's age.  However, I then began to notice intermittent horizontal lines appear on the screen - much like watching the picture through very thin venetian blinds!

The problem is intermittent though, depending on whether I turn on the TV or the box first or second, and I can always clear it by stepping through the screen-resolution options, moving past the 720p option then back; however the lines do eventually come back. the DVD plays OK, and I've changed the HDMI cable, fiddled with the connections etc - but now I don't know where to go next?  It may well be the TEAC box is the problem, but I thought I'd ask if anyone had migrated a TV and had issues like this before packing it all up and trudging back to the store for an exchange. I know the TV is old now, but it's in perfect condition and works well as a casual set, so I'm happy to persevere for the sake of keeping it going.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts or input.
