Hello all! So I bought a beosystem 5000 today... Without really knowing anything about them. But that's kinda how I am, dive into the deep end... It was cheap enough that I could take the chance. It came with a Beomaster 5000, Beogram 5005, Beocord 5000, Beogram CD50 and the MCP 5000. I got it all wired up and each unit seems to do "something", but I can't really gat any of it to work correctly. The MCP says "no transmission. The CD50 will not open, the Beocord 5000 has a tape stuck in it, and the Beogram 5005 seems to work correctly other than the sound being so faint you can barely hear it. I know this sounds like a basket case of problems, but if there is anyone out there with some Beosystem experience I would be forever grateful for some guidance...
Thanks Beofamily!
Beosound 9000 MK III, Beosound Century, Beogram 5005, Beolab 8000, Beolab 5000, Beolab 4000, Beolab 5, Beovision 8, Beovision 10, Beovision 5, Beoplay A2, Beoplay E8, Beoplay H6.
I restored a Beosystem 5000 and Beosystem 5500 for my collection a couple of years ago. Those threads should provide you with some scope of the work involved. They are both very nice systems to use. Well worth getting them working again.

The Beomaster powers on, but I can't seem to get it to do much after that. If I try to push any buttons on the unit, the "loudness" light flashes and nothing happens after that... If I start the Beogram 5005 the Beomaster will switch to Phono mode but the volume is very very low, clear sound, but vey low volume and I can't seem to adjust it.
Thanks!
I am going to start studying those threads!
