Hello
im new to the B&O world and got myself a beocenter 5500 set up but I've been having problems with the master control panel. Initially it works and controlled things and would occasionally say "no contact". It now doesn't really seem to work much at all and is pretty much constantly displaying "no contact". I have no idea what to do really and searches online have provided me very little. Any ideas what the best thing for me to do is? Any advice would be much appreciated. Should I just invest in a beolink remote? Am I right in thinking only the beolink 1000 would be right for my set up?
thanks in advance
thanks for the remote info. I didn't realise I could use many of the later remotes! the Beo4 looks nice. Had my eyes on a 5000 too. I'll maybe ditch the rechargeable batteries from the MCP and buy some standard ones to see if that helps things
thanks again
The Beolink 5000 will work and is two way. It is one of the few B&O devices of this era to need an instruction manual though - and is fragile. Plagued by poor battery contacts but this can be fixed. I would get the MCP working - apart from the appetite for batteries, it is a very useful remote - I have one sitting next to me as I type!

Where do you live? Someone nearby could maybe lend you a remote to make sure it is not the Beomaster that is faulty.
many thanks for the advice etc. I live 10 miles east of Manchester - near Glossop!
