The Beosound Shape was just released in Melbourne Australia. The delivery was actually a near miss. Starting in Milan, then to Lebanon of all places where it remained stuck behind red tape. Before eventually being delivered here in Melbourne.
The display was for Denfair (Designer Fair) at our beloved Jeffs Shed opposite Crown Casino.
Øivind Alexander Slaatto the designer made the trek as well. His explanation of the product and his design process made for an interesting afternoon.
The Beosound Shape was installed to a long wall on the Bang and Olufsen stand. The sound was impressive, considering we were in a large exhibition centre. The DSP seems to work quite well being flexible and quite capable of managing sonically poor rooms.
Prices were expected to start from $6-7K AUD and go to about AUD $11K though it could be much higher.
Hats of to the Emerald Group and Bang and Olufsen for their efforts at Denfair.
I also hope James made it to his function later that night...
