Hello everyone!
At last, after a few years' wait, my time-warp Beomaster 900 sans speakers is finally here, thanks to a fellow member on another vintage hi-fi forum!
Underneath : I swear everything is original here. Oh yes, the rubber feet are not really rubber any more. These will be replaced of course.
Rear view, no oxydation, nothing. The FM dipole is still here too.
Front view : near-mint condition. The woodwork looks almost new. No dent, nothing. Will the inside be as lovely?
Oh yes!
Nothing looks to have aged in here... incredible.
Even the electrolytics look like new, just amazing really.
Now, will the thing actually work?
I do have the little enveloppe but now I will have to find the original manual, as always. This alone can take a few months' search...
Jacques
Félicitations Jacques
It's a beautiful model you've found.
And welcome to the Beomaster 900 owners club!

Thank you!
Very beautiful - I love the deep rosewood.

Nice! Even the stereo decoder seems to be in there?
l have two K's and one M, but none of them have the black fascia.

Congrats Jacques, beautiful piece
Collecting Vintage B&O is not a hobby, its a lifestyle.
Thanks everyone!
This beautiful receiver was impressively well made.
This example was so well-preserved by his owner. Pity it didn't come along with the correct speakers. I've never seen any Beovox 500 for sale anywhere.
Congrats Jacques, really beautiful vintage piece! Very nice find
Beovox 500 would be a good choice but if you come across of Beovox 2200 I can warmly recommend them. Those are my favorite B&O bookshelf speakers. Only little bit bigger but with more depth which make them perfect proportioned!
If space is an issue, the wall mounted Beovox 800/1600 would be also a good match.

Nice piece of kit Jaques, when are you buying the new houses to put it all ?
What speaker's are you considering ?
Hi Eddie,
I am looking for the correct Beovox 500 or 600 but I am not holding my breath. 'Never seen any so far.
Rich:That's a beautiful piece, Jacques. Based on the model number I assume it predates the 1000 series. Was there a matching turntable?
A superb setup!
Tell me though, the Cubes seem to serve no purpose here. Mmm...
chartz:By the way I think I might still have some MMC4 of yours Rich... Jacques

Your speakers are very nice too. Never seen any pairs round here, unfortunately.
Also, Martin kindly provided me with some replacement rubber feet for my Beomaster 900 so worth asking him for those!

Next time I order something from him (probably a tachodisc) I'll ask him.
Hi Jacques,
I just posted that I had not seen this thread, but that was incorrect, I have, but I was seduced by your Beovox 5000 speakers, so much so that I missed entirely your new BM 900.
I responded to the ad because I really admired the"look" of the BM 900, however it is perfectly possible after having seen your thread previously; coupled with your boundless enthusiasm; that you might have managed to "influence" my judgment vis-a-vis the BM 900.
Whatever the case the seller claims to be a highly successful dealer in vintage electronics, who doesn't accept credit cards or PayPal and his BM 900 is actually from his "private collection, and he is in no hurry to sell it."
Patience is a virtue, and the above has given me reason to exercise this virtue.
I really enjoyed rereading this BM 900 thread, now with an entirely difference perspective to draw from.
