Hi, I am using a local cable from Steve (Heavenly Sounds) in order for a warehouse office to play music from a iPhone into the beolab 2000. Problem is when power goes out I need to enter a Beo4 sequence again.

Thought a small cheap audio master with ML and audio in may help simplify things here. though I am not sure which one?

Any thoughts?

Thank you Beoaus.

Hi beoaus,

get a Beolink Coverter 1611, connect your iphone to the AUDIO AUX-Link connector and press 'TV', SAT (or DTV), VTAPE (VMEM) or DVD on your BEO4.

This will give you the audio via the converter which is connected by a Masterlink cable on the Beolab2000.

For connecting the iphone to the converter best ask Steve for a matching cable.

Hi beoaus,

Thanks for your recent cable purchase.  The iPod to Beolab 2000 cable is really a workaround to allow the Beolab 2000 speaker to be used where there isn't any other connection option.  As long as the mains power to the speaker is constant, you shouldn't need to re-enter the setup code again.  However, if you get regular power outages then this solution may not work well for you.

As mentioned already, a Beolink Converter (type 1161166 that can act as an ML driver) can be used in place of an Audio Master to drive the Beolab 2000 from an iPhone.  Otherwise any pre-owned Beosound with a Masterlink connection (eg. Beosound Ouverture) would work well.

Either way, please use this cable from the Converter or Beosound to the Beolab 2000: http://soundsheavenly.com/masterlink-control-and-sync/35--mlblack-.html

You then just need this cable from the iPhone to the Converter or Beosound: http://soundsheavenly.com/bang-olufsen/67--trs-5pd-.html

Any questions, please feel free to get in touch!

Kind regards, Steve.

Steve.
