Hi guys,
Just purchased a house which came with two lovely B&O Penta MKII speakers in pretty good condition. They need re-foaming for the 3" drivers but i'll get to that later.
I've noticed that one of the speakers has an issue with the display on the front. Upon further inspection, it seems that one of them has been opened before and checked out. On one of the boards it has a sticker that says "Faulty - Display Dim". This is what i'm experiencing with one of the displays. I've swapped the LCD out to the other speaker board and it works fine, so i'm assuming this board may need servicing. The LCD has a backlight but it looks like no pixels are illuminated and can only be viewed from above.
Does anybody have any experience with this issue? Ive heard that the large capacitors may need replacing even though they don't look damaged. However, this was for a MKI model and not the Penta MKII.
I've attached a photo of each size of the board that I believe is faulty. Any ideas where to start?

Moreover, I am running the speakers from a BeoMaster 6500 amp via standard speaker cables, Should I use this or should I use the Speakerlink or Powerlink cables? Would this make any difference to the sound?
Kind regards
