Hi
I replaced my beosound ouverture with a beolink converter 1611. i use it with a beosound essence in order to send the sound to the tv and a beolab 3500
I plugged the beosound essence into the a.aux input of the beolink converter and I hear a sound like a ground sound. it makes sometimes heavy bangs
Is it a problem of cable between the essence and the beolink converter ?
It worked perfectly with the beosound ouverture.
thanks for any advices
4 beolab 5, beolab 9, beolab 10, beolab 5000, beolab 8000 mk2, beolab 6002, beolab 3500, beovision 7 55 mk2, 2 beovision 11 46 mk4, beotime, beosound ouverture, beosound essence, beoplay A8, beomaster 900 RG de luxe and the collection continues...
According to a friend, it can't work like this because the beolink converter can't be use as master.
please confirm me if it's true.
Hi olvisab,
Only the later version of the converter (full type number 1161166 if I recall correctly?) can act as an ML driver to work in this situation. Do you know if yours is the later version of the converter please? The cable may also be an issue - do you know how this has been wired or where it was obtained, as special wiring would be needed for this setup?
Kind regards, Steve.
