Are you connecting with individual screened cables between the AV amplifier preamp out and the line in on your Beolabs?

Are the RCA connectors on the cables pushed fully home at each end?

It seems as though the Beolabs are being triggered "on" by the hum from the AV amp?

Hi,   yes checked to see if loose connections etc, problem only started as i got a new Avr,

and when in standby mode one speaker switches on with a buzz sound i switched ports also,

and its the same speaker affected, so i have to switch off avr from the mains which is a pain really,

;)

How about swapping cables between left and right.I wonder if you have an intermittent screen somewhere?Or you could try new cables?

The AVR could be faulty of course, but it seems unlikely.
