Problem with the Beogram 4500 CD Cover someone can help me?

After some time I managed to win the Beogram 4500 CD player on an online auction site.

After a few days of excellent music the mechanism that opens the lid broke and so now the silver cover opens up to about 30 degrees and then starts vibrating, stopping because some gears of the mechanism are destroyed. Luckily I can insert the CD for reading but I would like to repair the mechanism what can I do?

I took this CD player to a service in Verona but they gave up!
