Greetings all,

My 3404 has occasionally been starting up in warp drive with an lp ready to play. Used to be once in a while, but is happening more frequently now to where it's stopped being fun.

Normal play resumes, so i suspect something electronic is failing. Has this happened to anyone else? What did you do to remedy?

Thanks in advance.

Dave

I seem to recall the cure is to replace the belt. When it slips during startup, the servo circuit goes into wrong gear so to speak, and ends up maintaining double the pulse frequency it should.
