Hi guys.

I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on the first generation UHD Avant coupled with the new 4K Apple TV. There’s a lot of info out about HDR, but does the first generation Avant support that technology at all? And if no, it’s still a UHD TV (only on HDMI 1?). What will I get, and what will I miss out on?

Thankful for all answers.

Hi - obviously it will work, but without the luminance benefits of HDR decoding. No big deal. I'd wait 12 more months if your even thinking about a new TV for these new standards to settle down as there are others around that have a potentially even more beneficial impact on picture quality. I like the look of Dolby.  The bigger issue, if you have a setup like mine is whether you already have another HDMI 2/HDCP 2.2 product connected like a Sky Q Box, in which case we both have a problem.

I'm looking at getting one of these to fix the issue:

INTEGRAL 4K60 4:4:4 600MHZ

Not sure if anyone else has bought one yet, but would love to know your experience.
