Hi
I have the above and recently there is quite a noticable humm/buzz coming from the unit. I've replaced the cable between the turntable and amp, checked it is grounded and that there is nothing else near it that could be causing it. Is it likely to be the cartridge or something else inside the turntable? This started when the unit it is in was moved and bumped - wondering if this is a common problem
Could the t/t connecting cable have been "tugged"during the "close encounter"?
One of the (two)screens could have become detached inside the Din plug?
Nick
Thanks Nick - no I tried changing the din plug and cable for another with the same result - tried to then connect it to an external preamp and line input on the amp - same result so it is sounding like something in the turntable or cartridge? I'll check the plugs again though to make sure, although the one I am currently trying it with is moulded
The signal socket in the Beogram is mounted on a small pcb. It's possible that the pins have become dry jointed and the jolt to the unit may have exaserbated this?
You will have to delve into the unit I think to investigate further.
Thanks Nick - I think I'll have a look over the weekend.
