Hi
Someone gave me 2 Beolink Wireless 1's. I didn't know much about them but have done some research and understand that they can link speakers in different rooms. My questions is, if you set one as a receiver can you stream music via Wi-Fi from a laptop etc to the receiver? I haven't got them yet as they are currently in a different city and I am just checking that its worth getting them.
Thanks!
In short, no!
They basically replace a masterlink cable with a bespoke B&O wireless link point-to-point. More details here: https://www.beoworld.org/prod_details.asp?pid=1028
Hey,
You're lucky to get the wireless 1. There still expansive..
The beolink wireless can be used at to different ways, with the latest software you can extend your masterlink system wirelessly or you can use it like a beolink active with ir-eye. You always need a at least 2 beolink wireless 1 units. One to transmit (connect to ml system) and one to recover (connect to powerlink or ml).
Beolink wireless uses the 2.4ghz band to sent data, that's the same as Wi-Fi. Unfortunately it's not possible to direct connect other Wi-Fi products to it.

Thanks for the replies, very helpful. I think I will still get them. I can always sell them.
They were going to dump them even though they still in perfect working order.
Thanks
