I need to replace the badly perished foams on my Beovox CX100 speakers, no problem in that.  The question is though, should I also replace the gaskets as a matter of course?

Thanks

Nick

I did but I am becoming very OCD. I don't think mine needed them.

A gasket is a one time use item.

Its job is to seal. If it is used once, it will not seal again.

So change the gasket Wink

Whilst you may want to opt for replacing the gaskets, we have found in our testing when upgrading the CX-series with a BeoCreate 4-Channel Amplifier that the original gaskets are almost always good enough to do the job. As long as it is not broken, it will squeeze between the back panel and the aluminium profile nicely, providing a seal.

Oh, well, that's very encouraging.  Perhaps I won't need to incur the cost of gaskets too. Smile

I shall inspect them carefully and go from there.

Thanks.
