Hi,

Anyone know I it is possible to use a BEO4 with the Beosystem 4 - it seems that it will only work with the Beoremote One or the BEO4 with the joystick to me. I've a lot o BEO4s and its a shame if I can't use them.

It is possible. There is a setting to switch to Beo4/5/6. Then, you must assign the sources, for example to DVD, V.MEM, TV, etc.

I’ve tried that. The Go button doesn’t work on the beo4.

In my opinion only Beo 4 with Navi stick works

on Beosystem 4, when it is set to Beo 4 in its menu!

Isn't there a setting in one of the set up menus to select Beo4 with or without navigation?

Regards

No, with the latest sw-versions of the BSys3 (and BV10,8 etc), you can choose between the two versions of the Beo4.

The Beo4/navi can be set to either Navi or old Beo4 function.

From BSys4 (and with the V1, BV11 etc) on, you must use either the supplied BROne or a Beo4/navi (set to use the navi function).

MM

There is a tv - and there is a BV

I ws hoping I could pick up the Netflix and Prime buttons on the Beoremote one using the connected MLGW, but it seems it doesn't log the keys at all. I suspect the software version of the MLGW is an issue as it was only last updated in 2017.

Would a BLGW be able to read them I wonder.

I had thought the same thing as you did. The BLGW did not detect the the Netflix or Prime buttons. I had hoped the buttons might send out a CONTROL command, but it seems that they do not. I guess the buttons only work with bluetooth.

Interesting. I'll see if they do send out a bluetooth command. If so, I can capture them that way.

Well while there was a response - the remote is quite modal - so I can't easily use it as a beovision (IR) remote with those buttons active. Waste of time really!
