Hi, I've got a pair of BL8000's which are connected (wired) to the Beosound Moment. Both the PL ports are used. They display as (other) on the Moment, no option for BL8000. Does anyone know if there's an option? I want to add a BL2 Subwoofer to the setup, according to the manual it says daisychain the speakers to one connection and add subwoofer to the other connection on the Beosound Moment. As there are only 2 ports can you get a rj45 PL splitter? not sure if one is available.

I know they do a RJ45 PL to PL splitter but as I have bought a pair of PL to RJ45 PL cables to connect to Moment I thought they might have a rj45 PL splitter. If you get what I mean.

Hi sid001,

Welcome to Beoworld!  Please don't use standard RJ45 network cables or splitters with Beolab speakers as these items aren't shielded.  The result will be lots of interference and background noise over your music.... Sad

For the best results, please use one of your existing RJ45 to Powerlink cables to connect the Beolab 2 subwoofer to one of the outputs of the Moment.  If you need a longer cable, I stock these here:-

https://www.soundsheavenly.com/bang-olufsen/31-rj45-to-powerlink-compatible-all-in-one-cable-convert-new-2013-ethernet-powerlink-to-traditional-8-pin-din-powerlink.html

You can then connect the two Beolab 8000 speakers to the two outputs of the Beolab 2 using two Powerlink mk.3 cables, so no splitters are needed:-

https://www.soundsheavenly.com/powerlink-8-pin-din-connection/20-powerlink-mk-3-compatible-8-pin-din-cable-with-4-cores-wired-low-profile-cable.html

This way, the Beolab 2 can manage the bass for all speakers, to give you the best results, without any interference problems.

Kind regards, Steve.

Steve.
