My 2012 V1-40 is experiencing problems with IR remote commands.

The past couple of days have been really warm here in Belgium with room temperatures between 25° and 35° celsius.

I initially spotted a problem when the V1 did not seem to respond correctly to my Beo4. When changing volume for example, and continuously pressing the Volume Up button on my remote, the V1 would raise volume, stop for a split second, then continue again, stop again, and so on. Eventually, the V1 stopped responding to any remote commands anymore.

My initial thought was that the batteries in my Beo4 were in need of replacement, but after changing them, the V1 still did not respond.

In order to determine whether or not the problem is with the V1 or the remote, I have been testing the past 2 days and found the following:

- the V1 accepts commands in the morning, or when it has been turned off for a while

- the V1 stops responding to commands when it has been on for more than 1 hour (this could be shorter if the room temperature is higher)

Does this sound familiar to anyone?

My current hypothesis is that some cooling fan has stopped working.

Regards,
Jan

Never had problem with IR on ours except when strong sunlight must have included a lot of the infr red spectrum.

Hi Jan

We have the exact the same issue with our V1-40 from 2012. Have been using the B&O app for a while but sometimes we can't start the TV and have to turn off and on to get the connection again. :-(

Did you find a solution for you TV and can you advice what to do?

Cheers, Steen
