hello, I’m New at this forum.
could anyone help please. I have A BeoLab 3500 connected to Beosystem 2300. Music comes out of the BeoLab but I can’t get any connection with the Beolink 1000 or beo 6. In other words, I can’t get the Beolink 1000 nor the beo 6 get connected to the BeoLab for changing the volume up and down.
I have tried the codes: sound 4 store with the Beolink or L-option 4 with the beo 6 but no effect.
sorry for the poor English!
Thanks for any suggestions
Rietje
Hi and welcome.
Just a thought: Are you entering the A.OPT (SOUND 4 STORE) with the system switched off? This is how it's meant to be done.
Thanks for your reply.
yes, the system was switched off. I tried again, but no effect.
is there maybe a reset button for the BeoLab anywhere?
A few questions.
1. Is it a Beocenter 2300. I cannot find a Beosystem 2300?
2. How is the Beolab 3500 connected to the system?
3. Are they in the same room or different rooms?
4. Is the Beolab 3500 a mk1 or mk2?
The mk1 has a Masterlink socket and a Master Control Link (MCL) socket (people mistake that for a Powerlink Socket. The mk2 has Masterlink and Powerlink. If your system is a Beocenter 2300, that does not have a Masterlink connection and you'd need a Beolink Convertor to control a mk1 Beolab 3500.

Hello Stoobie,
You are right. It is a beosystem 2300. There is a Beolink converter 1611 between the beosystem and the BeoLab.
They are in the same room. We’re can I see if it is a mk1 or mk2.
A B&O specialist has combine this years ago, but he is retired some years ago
Hope you have a solution how to fix this.
Thanks, Rietje
It sounds like it is all connected properly. It may be worth disconnecting from the mains for a few minutes and plugging back in.
Using the Beolink 1000 you need to make sure the system is in Standby and then you need to press - LINK 4 STORE to program the Beolab 3500 and I think it is SOUND 1 STORE for the Beocenter.
I don't know how you do it with the Beo 6.
Do you have anything else connected to the system? Other speakers, TV etc.
Good luck
PS. From the Sounds Heavenly website - to see if you have a mk.1 or mk.2 speaker, please check the serial number (shown on a sticker at the back, near to the socket panel). If this is lower than 19343452 then you have a mk.1 speaker. If the serial number is 19343452 or above it us mk2.
