I just replaced my Beo4 with a BeoRemote One BT for use with my Beovision 11. Like it very much so far, but I've noticed a peculiar behavior.

The list items for speaker selection and stand adjustments are in capital letters and are able to be adjusted without first selecting them with the select button, while the rest need to be selected first before they can be adjusted. I've got these settings on my remote:

  1. SPEAKERS
  2. STAND
  3. Sound
  4. Picture
  5. Format
  6. Picture mute
  7. Mute sound

Using the left or right on the directional pad on item 1 or 2 allows me to change speakers/position without first selecting them. Doing that with 3-5 does nothing. They have to be selected with the center button first (which also brings up the OSD on the TV) in order to be adjusted.

In other words, 1-2 behaves just like they did on Beo4 (no need to select first), while the rest don't and need an additional button press. Is this normal behavior and if so, why do Speakers and Stand receive special treatment? It's a minor issue and peculiarity.

There are a few weird things like this with the remote in BT mode. For example setting LIGHT to a mybutton doesn’t actually select LIGHT. it just shows it in the menu then you have to press the centre button. On the older BeoRemote One it was different. So you could for example press a MyButton to activate LIGHT then press centre to turn lights on/off.

BeoVision Eclipse 55”, Beolab 18s, Beolab 19s, Beosound 1, Beoplay P2, H3, BeoRemote One IR, BeoRemote One BT, Beoplay S8, Beosound Essence MkII, BeoTime

Personally, I would hide 3, 4, 7 (I personally delete 3 to 7) as these are easily replicated on-#creen.

Dont know if that will make 7 work properly but you will have two functional buttons on display only and no scrolling. The missing controls are accessed via the Menu button.

Adjusting these via the menu system would take ages. Not a good solution.

Maybe this will get fixed in future updates. It's not a biggie and I let the first two labels stay in capital letters just to differentiate them visually too. But it is weird and a bit annoying.
