What's a good price (in USD) to pay for a pair of pre-owned Beolab 3 speakers (about 6 years old), with floor stands? They are in decent visual condition, no dents, scratches, but there are minor blemishes on the black cases. I haven't seen or heard them in person... yet. However the seller seems reputable. So with the information above, what are your thoughts?

A ‘good’ price for you to pay as a private purchase would be around $700.

700$ a piece?

There is a 2006 pair on ebay for 2000$. I think they were sold between 5000$ and 6000$ a pair plus the cost of the floor stands when they got discontinued.

I think few years back 2000 to 2500 would have been it but nowadays with dealer network shrinking and them being discontinued I would probably offer 1500 a pair.

I had one of mine repaired, that was like 1200$ 2 years back to exchange the electronics, not regretting it. Still consider them and the Beolab 2 one of the best electronic purchases I ever made.

Am hoping B&O get's some sort of e-commerce/distribution strategy together so that they can stay active in the US market.

Thanks for the thoughts, I’m assuming 9LEE meant $700 for each speaker.

And I couldn’t agree more, Jeff, I think I haven’t been more satisfied with a B&O purchase than the BL3+2 combination. A design and sound winner along with top notch build quality to boot!
