I recently bought an old Beogram 6000 and a Beomaster 5500, to Play LP's. I owned a pair of argon speakers, and i have bought the 2 din adapters to connect Them to the Beomaster. I cannot Seem to get any sound from Them when i Play my records.

I hope someone might be able to help.

I’d start with the Beomaster. Check the mute relay by swapping speaker cables to the speaker 2 output, or hook up some headphones with the radio on or another known good source of audio input.

Hello. Thanks for the advice. It turns out, that there is Sound coming through the radio output, but still nothing from the phono output. Do you have Any suggestions for the reason for this? Thank you for your help.

I know this is a silly suggestion, but have you plugged the Beogram into the correct socket?

Just to add to this, if this is the tangential Beogram 6000 from the early 70s, doesn't it have an RIAA preamp built-in so the output will be at line level? Plugging it into the phono socket of the 5500 would be a mistake as the 5500 has an RIAA pre-amp built into the phone stage. It should be connected to the tape or aux input of the 5500.

I have checked, and troede different combinations, and it is correctly plugged in. It is the Beogram 6000 from 1981, (https://www.beoworld.org/prod_details.asp?pid=300). Can it be a problem with the phono line in the Beomaster?

You could try connecting the Beogram to the CD input. If the turntable is working you will get some kind of sound although it will be very quiet and sound “wrong” having not gone through RIAA equalization and additional amplification but if the turntable is not the problem you should hear something.

I finally made it Work, which is very nice. My next problem is, that there is a broken pin from the speaker in the speaker 2 female plug in the Beomaster, and i cannot make it Play anything through the speaker 1 plug. I have a beolink 1000, can i somehow switch to the speaker 1 output with that? Thanks

Speaker 1 isn’t working most likely because the mute relay isn’t working. If you don’t have experience repairing electronics, replacing it isn’t a good option.

I’d work on getting the broken pin out.

How did you get the beogram working?

I don't have Any experience repairing electronics, so that is probavly not a good option, No. I have troede Lots og different things, but can't Seem to get the broken pin out. Would it be an expensive repair if i get a b&o specialist to do it, or is there maybe a clever trick to get it out?(I live in Copenhagen, so there Are a few)

And i don't know what made the Beogram suddenly Play, but i tried fiddling with it, and connect and disconnect the different wires, and suddenly IT worked. :-)
