Thank you for welcoming me to Beoworld!
I have owned Bang&Olufsen products for about 20 years and have, for the most part, been very happy with them.
I currently own a 55 inch Avant and am now thinking about an upgrade. I was thinking about buying a Beosystem 4 with a 3rd party TV as I want quite a large TV and the ability to also connect a projector (I do not really care about 4k). I was wondering if it is possible to use the Beosystem 4 to control the Avant motorized Stand? If so, I would simply buy a Beosystem 4, a large monitor, a Beolab 10 and then have a makeshift Beovision Avant.
Thank you in advance for your comments!
Has anyone tried a similar setup with the beosystem 4?

The back panel of the BS4 has a "STAND" input socket, which was intended, I believe for the BV12 stand, however, I'm sure B&O can manipulate the SW for a purchaser for the B&O stand of their choice. Perhaps that's an option in the SW itself, to identify the stand it is connected to. Perhaps merely connecting the stand cable from the Avant stand can allow the SW to identify it and have you be able to operate it.
Depending on where you place the Beosystem4 (if you place it far from the stand itself) you may need an extension for the stand cable -- don't know if they make those.

I contacted Bang&Olufsen about this, and it is not possible.
