Hi all,

can I use the Beolink 7000 with my Ouverture, DVD1 and Beogram 4500?

Thanks

Yes as they use Beolink 1000 commands but there is no two way communication. So essentially you have a very large and not very good Beolink 1000!! There is actually one small interesting fact though. If you use the system through an MCL system, you will get some feedback though only on the red display if I remember correctly! I used to get some feedback via this system with a Beocenter 2!

The Beocenter 2500 works two way as do the 6500 and 7000 systems and also the Beocenter 9500 - which  used for some time.

Hi Peter

Do you connect the data pins from the powerlink output of the newer product to data input on the mcl 2A in order to make the 2way communication work?

MCL2A would normally use the data that is provided on the extra pins of the speaker 2 sockets.

Yes I know, but there is no Connection for passive speakers on the new products,

on the older products with both powerlink and speakerlink the data pin send out the same signals
