Bought myself an mx 4000 from an old man, i got a remote along with it. The remote is not tagged with anything.

The only thing i can do with the remote is turning the tv on and change channels with the numbers, nothing else. Have i gotten the wrong remote? Ive tried with this remote and two beolink 1000's. What can i do? Could a Beo4 remote fix my problem?

Hi there,

It looks like you have a Video Terminal remote control so I'm not sure it is fully compatible with the TV. The lable on the back of the TV shows it is a Beo4 version so will probably only be fully controlled by a Beo4 remote. It think the remote you have will only give basic control.

On the link below it shows the keys to press on the Beolink 1000 that should correspond to a Beo4 remote and control the Beo4 MX TV you have. It might not control everything but you may be able to use one of your Beolink 1000s to control the TV enough not to need the Beo4 remote.
