Hello!

The BeoLit 12 is listed as a product you can add to the Bang & Olufsen app, however the instructions that meet you when you try to do that don’t make a whole lot of sense.

1) “could not find your BeoLit 12” and it asks me to connect to the BeoLit 12 as a hot spot.

2) once connected to the BeoLit 12 as hot spot I get the error message in the app that I am not connected to the network (which I’m obviously not as I just connected to the BeoLit 12 only as a hotspot).

How do I add the BeoLit 12, following the instructions just makes me go in circles…

Many thanks, BeoMedia

I can't remember how exactly. But there really is no point in doing so. The app cannot control any settings, it doesn't even show up in the main page of the app. You need to go into your user profile and list all your products. If the Beolit is online, you can go into its webpage with settings. So no app integration of anything.

Hi BeoMedia,

I had been using my Beolit 12 stand-alone, plugging my iPhone into the USB socket.

I recently network-connected it again to use Airplay. I used an Ethernet cable to connect my Beolit 12 to my router. My iPhone was on the same network.

I went into the B&O app, opened my profile then added the Beolit.

I then did what crossbyte mentioned, going in to the config web server of the Beolit 12 (from within the app) and set it up to join my wi-fi network. Note that the Beolit 12 is 2.4GHz only.

I did more or less the same as Lawrence.

Connect the BeoLit12 with ethernet, is the easies way to get to the built-in configuration tool (the webpage).

In there you will find Wi-Fi settings, the settings options are quiet old and a bit confusing so it might take some tries to get it right.
The BeoLit won't connect through Wi-Fi as long as it has an Ethernet connection, so remember to unplug that cable for each try.

As a final notice, the BeoLit 12 won't show up as an product in the B&O app, but you get a shortcut to the web server through your profile in the app.

It's not really needed IMHO since I use AirPlay most of the time to stream to the device.

I hope that you soon can enjoy your music ;)
