From the BM 8000 user's guide  regarding the M.PATH/SIGNAL  meter and switch: -

when you move the switch to M. PATH and the indication is less than that on SIGNAL, there's a good chance that your antenna is receiving reflected signals ("ghosts"). High buildings are a common source of reflected signals.

So what is the meter measuring when the switch is pushed to M.PATH rather than SIGNAL?

I assumed it was measuring multi-path interference and that therefore, it should register less than the strength of the signal. However the manual seems to be saying that the M.Path level should be greater  than the signal level.

Anyone care to clarify/comment?

Thanks in advance,

Alan
