I’ve recently purchased a ‘second life’ Beolab 7.2.  Whilst the front grill is new and ‘mint’ the  aluminium cabinet’s coating of “hardwearing black soft-touch lacquer” is on close inspection grubby and slightly sticky.  I’ve tried cleaning this with the recommended 
“...lint-free, firmly wrung cloth, dipped in a solution of water containing only a few drops of mild detergent, such as washing- up liquid”
but this has had little effect and has in fact made it marginally worse.  Any suggestions?
