Hi all,

Does anyone else find the left side has a much louder pass through of audio when using transparency or is it balanced? I keep looking over the wrong shoulder when disturbed at work as the balance is quite far to the left.

Thanks.

Yeah it’s a known problem I think - both pairs I’ve had have had the problem. It is easily fixed though, all you need to do is perform a factory reset (touch the touch panel on both earbuds at the same time until the light on the right earphone goes red, and then put them back in the charging case and leave them for a few second. Then re-pair them with your phone).

Given that a factory reset of the software fixes it, hopefully they’ll work out what the problem is a patch it in a future software update.

Oh I should have said, i had issues with volume in general being quiet on the right earphone (which included transparency mode) so a factory reset /might/ not work (hopefully it will though!)

Hi Jon,

Just tried that process - it completed ok (had to pair again) but still minimal transparency on the right bud. I didn't think it would bother me but quite disorientating when moving about!

oh no :( yeah it's quite disconcerting! If I were you I'd either take them back to the shop you bought them from for a replacement or send them off to B&O under warranty

Well this is interesting - returned them to John Lewis and ordered direct, same issue!

Is it just me being fussy? When you have transparency on - do you get much sound from the right side bud\mic? These are 1711 batch running 5.4.0 firmware.

Uh? I don’t see how that’s interesting. They are all from the same factory, sealed and delivered. How are you expecting the hardware to differ from John Lewis?

Because B&O support stated it appears to be a hardware defect and to either return them for repair, or (as they were a few days old) return them to John Lewis for replacement\refund (who were out of stock).
