basic questions about beosound 4/beolab 3500

Hello

I am new to b&o

I have the inherited 4 x beolab 3500 speakers and 2 x upright speakers

all connected to a  beosound 4

with 4 beo4 remote controls.

I have some basic questions (can i upgrade they system to play)

- DAB radio (or internet radio)

- amazon prime music or spotify.

Welcome to Beoworld!  Yes, you can easily play internet radio and stream music from any app on your phone to the B&O system and speakers.  If you use Apple mobile devices, then Apple Airport Express is a good option, otherwise Google Chromecast Audio works well.

Either device links easily to your Beosound 4 via this cable: https://soundsheavenly.com/hifi-av/minijack-to-twin-phono-rca-line-ipod-to-hifi

Great thanks.  Its really that easy?  I just by a chormecast and plug and play.  Brilliant!

What is the purpose of the beosound core.  Is this essential an expensive and more powerful chromecast.  Does it offer any advantage?

Yes, it is that easy

You can use Chromecast Audio, Sonos Connect, Airport Express or Beosound Core for streaming wireless music.  They all give good sound quality, they are different solutions to the same issue from different companies.

I can provide cables to link any of these devices to your Beosound 4.
