First time user, I just joined the site, but I have been reading threads for years.

I have a small problem, can someone please help.

I have a Beovision 7-40 with motorised stand and it’s been working fine.  The other day I decided to do a reset (just to bring it back to factory settings), now when I go to calibrate the stand it will turn clockwise for a bit, then start turning anticlockwise and then “adjustment failed” appears on the screen.

The stand does not rotate anti clockwise as much as the initial clockwise rotation.

Of course I checked that nothing was obstructing the stand, I have reset and repeated the process many times.

It was all working fine until I did the reset.

Any suggestions on how I can get it working again?

Hi and welcome to BeoWorld

I would try a power off and unplug the stand from the TV. Double check that it is plugged in the correct way up and then power up the TV again. You can set the maximum turn parameters before you program the stand positions.

Thanks Opman, I have tried all you suggestions, I even tried disconnecting the stand and resetting the TV and then turning it all of, reconnecting everything and then trying the calibration again, still no luck.

I am wondering if it’s the carpet, I may try moving it onto a hard floor, shouldn’t really make a difference but I will try anything at this stage.

As for you suggestion about setting parameters, unfortunately until I have calibrated the stand all stand settings are turned off, unless someone can tell me a work around.

Update:

I moved the BV7-40 onto a solid flat surface, I leveled the stand and securely fastened the TV and it’s still won’t calibrate.

i have noticed that it moves smoothly in the first direction but a bit jerky on the return rotation so maybe the motor is slightly damaged, anyway of by passing the calibration so that I can just use the stand uncalibrated.

thabks in advance
