Hi
I first registered in 2011 but never really visited the website much until my most recent purchase.
On Saturday, the engineer came with a BeoSound 5, BeoMaster 5 and a Beo6.
He refused to give me a copy of the configuration software and I also weren't given a USB. To make any changes - Add Zones, Add ALL the B&O in the house or anything speicific, he said I'd have to ring them and they would make an appointment and charge me for their time to programme. That is ridiculous.
From Saturday evening, I have nearly every thread in the Beo5/6 Forum on this website.
I managed to download the tool 6.62 and started doing some configurations and there is so much you can do with this remote. I used the USB lead to charge my Playstation 3 controllers and this worked fine with.
I'm quite clued on with computers and I think I can cope when it comes to programming, IR commands, macros, xml
Regarding IR commands, Macros and XML, this is very new territory for me and I just started learning on Saturday.
Are there any guides or anything that would help in understanding the B&O IR Commands and Macros.
I understand I would need XML files to control third party appliances and this can be even more complicated.
Can anyone shed any light?
Thank you for your help.
Regards

HI Kiran,
late, but welcome to Beoworld.
You can start with the Wiki on this site:

And here's a very nice thread of our Beo 5/6 guru "Rivenflush" who has done some amazing programming with his Beo 5 and shows how much potential B&O simply missed...

Would you. be able to give me a link to the Beo6 config tool?
