Recently my Beogram CD7000 lost its remote operation with my Beomaster 6500. It plays normally when I manually select the CD on the Master Control Panel, but it won't switch the amplifier on and is not communicating or responding to my MCP 6500 or other remotes.  My tape decks and record player are all working normally with the Beomaster.  I tried a second Beogram CD7000 into the same CD input on the Beomaster with the same result.  Could something be wrong with the CD din pin input on the Beomaster?

Lead broken from its solder joint inside the DIN plug on the CD cable - most likely.
Bad protection diodes in either Beomaster or Beogram CD (or both) - rarer.

Thanks Martin.  It has been working fine to this point.  Will check the cable out and see if that's the issue.  If not a future job for repairer.  Thanks for the advice.  Cheers, Chris
