Thinking of combining Beovox 5000 panel speakers with a Beoplay S8 subwoofer

Hi there. I have had my Beovox 5000s in storage for the last 10 years. I have now noticed a number of S8 subwoofers for sale (without their satellites) on eBay. Has anyone thought of combining these speakers? Would they be compatible? interested in hearing if anyone has tried this.
