Hi there,

Is it possible to add cover art in your homemedia folder?

The cover is imbedded in my flack -files so when I open an album the individual songs all show the cover.

When I browse trough the albums, I only see a folder-icon. It would be nice to see the album cover instead.

Thx!

Having been a long-time user of a Beomaster/Beosound 5, I have meticulously ripped all my music to WMA lossless over the years using WMP. Using strict nonclementure/taxonomy and imbedding hi-res album art for each album has made the BS5 a breeze and a pleasure to use.

As a precaution to a BM5 HDD failure, I backed all my music and ripped video to a WD Cloud 4tb drive. Its not the best storage in the world but I was pretty impressed the other day when setting up my new Avant how effortlessly the BV connected to the drive and the speed it can queue and play both DVD and Music.

Because the WMA files are embedded with album art, the Avant can display this information automatically:-

Hi Timo_B

Did you try to put the album coverpic named folder.jpg in the folder with the music files?

Hey Mr 10percent,

I'm getting the same as you but what I want is to show the cover art here, so I can browse true the albums and get an Idea of the CD.

Hey Mr 10percent,

It seems I can't upload any pic (yet) Smile

I want the cover art to be shown in the left column (to replace the folder icon)

if you see the folder icon the problem originate in your server

or

the resolution of your embedded images are to high

or

the format of the embedded images are not recognized

Hello

Are there new ideas on this subject? I have BM5 as server in the N/L and can see the Albumfolders on the BV11, but the covers ONLY by selecting a song from the album.

Thank you for help, Ruedi

I have tried to solve this, but no luck.

I think its simply this way it is designed.

There are no coverpics in folder view - only with the files and when playing back - on the right side.

Browsing by cover would be nice, but that would require a rather different user interface.

Thank you for the answers. Now it is certain, that I don't have to look for a solution.

One reason could be: the icons are so small on the TV screen that from a distance you can't see them at all Smile

I did think of adding that in my post...

....however on a BV Avant 75” you might be able to see them ;-))
